Program Summary

Our small-group classes include dietetics, psychology, strength training, flexibility and cardiovascular exercise. Education is key to your success. You will learn the principles of biomechanics, physiology and psychology and their effects on your weight loss. Every training session is designed to foster a patient's transition into independent exercise, healthy living and proper weight loss. Monitoring of progress is essential to successful weight loss. Patients and physicians may privately access weight loss results at any time online, in order to observe progress, success and program compliance. We understand how challenging the journey of weight loss can be. We include a yearlong follow-up program to support your successful transition to a healthier lifestyle. 36-week program (three 12-week phases)
  • Medical diagnostics performed by referring physician
  • Individual session with behavioral counselor
  • Individual session with dietitian
  • Musculoskeletal evaluation by a physical therapist
  • Resting metabolic and sub-max VO2 tests
  • Individual goal setting with fitness consultant
  • Weekly consultations with registered dietitian and/or clinical psychologist
  • Up to five supervised exercise sessions each week
  • Regular progress reports to physicians 12-month follow up program
  • Weight evaluation twice a month
  • Group psychology or dietitian sessions twice a month

First steps

You will speak privately with the physical therapist, fitness specialist, registered dietitian, psychologist and peer advisor. We will measure your resting metabolic rate, cardiovascular fitness, body composition, and circumference measurements. A physical therapist will assess your flexibility, range of motion, and muscular strength. From this information, you and the fitness specialist will set manageable fitness goals. The dietitian and psychologist will assist you to create a lifestyle of healthy eating. We will help you learn about healthy food options so that you can make well-informed decisions regarding food.
